Welcoming 2026 — and, for the very first time, Doju opens on a Sunday.

This one-off Sunday BBQ brings two distinct culinary voices together around the grill. Expect food that’s bold, generous, and designed for sharing — best enjoyed slowly, with good company, and a fun Sunday rhythm.


For one Sunday only, Doju opens its doors for a special lunchtime collaboration featuring Lucy Whitlow and Mika Chae.

About Lucy

Lucy Whitlow is the Executive Pastry Chef at the Conferre Group, a cheesemaker at Grana, and an occasional savoury cook.

With Lucy heading overseas soon, this lunch marks a final opportunity to cook together in Melbourne before she goes — a meaningful collaboration shaped by friendship, creativity, and shared time in the kitchen.

A BBQ-style menu designed for sharing, cooked together by Lucy and Mika.

Expect smoke, spice, ferment, and sweetness — flavours layered over the grill and brought to the table in a relaxed, playful Sunday lunch format.

This exclusive lunch brings Lucy Whitlow together with our very own Mika Chae, founder and executive chef of Doju — a one-off afternoon shaped by friendship, collaboration, and really, really good food.
